生死恋影评:An entirely romantic and moving movie with a beautiful soundtrack
It is an entirely romantic and moving movie with a beautiful soundtrack. The plot is simple and seems to be old-fashioned but still it touches me. I cannot clarify how it touches me but as a man I admire such kind of love - pure, trustful and mellow. What is special about this movie is that we could have a look at Hong Kong and Macau back in 1950s. I love that kind of feeling of old times. I think I just got nostalgia from this movie. There are some good sentences from this movie that I like:
"In the mirror what is right is left and what is left is right"
"Life's greatest tragedy is not to be loved"
This is actually a tragedy though for a moment I hope it is not. But the tragedy ending makes it more beautiful, isn't it? Maybe someday I will remember this story and the grassy hill with a couple kissing in the breeze when the music resounds in my mind.
