揭开面纱：好莱坞的跨性别人生

Trans版的visibility，想看了那么久没想到最后看完是因为作业哈哈哈哈。有几个点很触动：

1. Kardashian式审美与gay stylists, street queens, and eventually sex workers的关系。在何不食肉糜地说某族群“迎合”谁之前先想清楚某族群在不“迎合”的情况下是否能生存。

2. 那位transfemme说看到了某部剧之后才知道原来people can go beyond acceptance, and it hurts because she starts thinking that it’s her fault that she didn’t realize this possibility before. “Children cannot be what they cannot see.”

3. “Changing representation is not the goal. It’s a means to the end.”

4. The over representation of violence and “betrayal” in trans’ stories on the screen, which naturalizes the link and reinforces the stereotypes instead of helping to explain the context and reasoning behind.
