I love Nicky. Love his 6 or 7 inches face, his body, and his careless attitude towards everything. If I was a rich middle age lawyer, I don't think I could make another decision but keeping him.
I love this movie's first half part, when Nicky still lives in Amanda’s gorgeous mansion up the hill. He is a born heart broker. He is cute, but he is not interesting. He knows nothing but pleasing women and wasting his day in the pool and making pointless phone calls.
It is so real. When Amanda found out Nicky was staying in her place, drinking her beer, watching her tv, and getting a blow job from a naked woman, they got into an argument but ended up in fucking. From that moment on, they know exactly what each other’s role is. But Nicky is naughty. He still wants to fuck around; he doesn't care Amanda’s effort to keep him. Amanda’s surgery is for no one but him. But he doesn't care. Why should he care? Anything you earn without hard effort is not exciting at all. He needs challenge. He needs someone to be his counterpart.
He enjoys the lifestyle a rich woman can provide to him, but he doesn’t like the fact how he got it. . He is a womanizer. All the women in his life are just tools. He knows how to use them so well, that he always gets what he wants.
I like the scene when Amanda waited for him for a whole night; he got pissed off and packed up. How she threw his clothes at him, how she slapped his face, how she cooled down, and offered to cook for him, just wanted to change her mind again and hope he wouldn’t leave. The details are so real. How a woman got mad, got desperate, got cooling down, changed mind, scared of losing some lovely toy……
I don’t like the following part, for I think even if Nicky is a frog, he is a great looking one. He struggled for his fate, he tried to love for love, but he got betrayed. Kind of sad. I don’t like to watch a cute and hot guy got into that kind of ending.
In this city, everyone think they are noble, there is no chance for frogs. (You gonna to kiss many frogs before you kiss a real prince. )
