just watched the good part of pitch perfect in Union South( 3 week head start screening exclusive, courtesy of Universal Pictures UW madison (first 1 and a half hour i guess) right when they are about to get back into the competition. good flick. 95% people in marquee =girls. anna kendrick rocks this genre for sure. headphones ftw. all in all a good movie up to that part. i got hw to do so i went out cus the ending, well, by the look of it will not be surprising, although the movie itself did imply anti-cliche, anti-conformation-to-the-group. I buy it cus i hate conforming to the douchebag group leader who only think of himself and present it as "group interest"
i watched the best part and i left. the best part is when anna kendrick improvised in the 2 tier regional competition of a cappela trying to save the group cus she noticed that the audience response of what they are doing(according to what the leader continuely stresses as the plan) is just not good.
But that said, I was there cus I do not turn down free new movie at all. Union South usually show old movies, but this one is ahead, so pretty much earlier than anywhere else unless I double check such things in other colleges. I stayed for 1 hour and a half for the matter stated above although I honestly don't buy into awkward comedy movies.
