首先,伟大的“天才”魏岭秀开始动摇和最后的恍然大悟,真是让人一愣一愣的。只能解释说,最高级的骗子和蠢货都是他自己, it must have been defense mechanism at work all those years. 要不是那段对他儿时经历的解释和他“unhappy man”的设定,会觉得伍迪艾伦在嘲弄观众的智商。
另外,这种爱情模式也太patriarchal了!不能理解。Olivia无所不能,和Sophie利用骗术和魅力让男人为她提供一切,对比明显;最终,让Stanley chose Sophie's big eyes, smiles and "so much more (扯淡!the willingness to be pampered?)" over the independent woman, his fiancée, 说明,要么Stanley这个男性角色具有时代局限性,要么Woody Allen这位作者向往父权时代。Wise of him not using Stanley as a reliable narrator, or it could be infuriating.
单纯画面太美似乎还不够,对我至少。It would have been okay if he hadn't led me down the philosophical path with his witty lines. But he did. He made me expect more, and he/they didn't deliver.
P.S. 等那抹魔力月光褪去,理智回归时,Stanley can comfort himself that at least he's found himself a gifted business partner in magic, given Sophie's act even fooled him.
