This is an unparalleled groundbreaking initiative! Absolutely shocking experience to see people documented every 7 years. This practice should be adopted by every society, as a means to enhance their self-knowledge. The greatest thing comes from seeing the trajectory of how things have changed over the years, seeing the uncertainty and impermanance of human life, rather than the purported class determinism (which this series is insufficient in addressing). If there is anything that keeps it from getting a 5-star, I think it is because the raw materials can be better used when the film equally depicts every stage of their lives, so that it appears to be an objective description of their life course, rather than focusing primarily on the current stage. I look forward to the day when the series is finished and all materials are integrated and re-organised into a new film.
