Plot Summary:A modern fairy-tale, 'On Becoming' is the story of Paul (Stuart Krimko) who seems stuck at the crossroads: what does he want from life? will he get a job? Will he stay the course and become an artist, a poet? Will he stay with his girlfriend? Or, take up with a new one? All of these questions become more pressing as his living situation becomes precarious as his presence becomes a flashpoint between his sister and her husband, at the same time he befriends a critic (Michael Silverblatt) who is profoundly dedicated to his art and full of deep romantic leanings, who pushes Paul towards his calling.
