Gemma decides to crash the affair with James, a handsome patient whom she has agreed to date and who turns out to be Tom's school-teacher, but, getting Simon alone, she drunkenly claims he still wants her, which he denies. Next day he visits her, telling her that she needs to move on and forget the past, and to prove it he persuades Tom to move in with him.
