Jason gets a surprise of his own with a visit from none other than Rev. Newlin, who is now a vampire. He's not at all upset that Jason slept with his wife and has something important to tell him. Jason is rescued by Jessica who makes it clear that she wants to see others. She seems to have second thoughts when she sees Jason partying with an attractive young woman. Sam Merlotte is being hunted for the death of Marcus and takes the blame to protect Luna and her daughter.
