Plot Summary:A film about friendship, love and betrayal. A gifted designer-constructor German Baklanov (Ju.Kamorny) doesnt want to be a pawn in his chiefs hands (M.Gluzsky), he wants independent, creative work. He works up a situation, when several creative work teams are charged with a new tractor model development. And he heads one of these teams. A girl, who fell in love with him, turns out to be in one of these groups too. Talented youth sets about tense, crucial project. His best friend turns out to be his rival. And his friend likes good relax and entertainment, and he respects German, but he must also show a result...He brings himself to committing a mean act
