Plot Summary:Through a young Norwegian woman's eyes, 'The good neighbour' gives insight into the Norwegian state-owned oil company's operations in the notorious Canadian oil sands. Norway as well as Canada promotes themselves as being at the forefront of prioritizing equality, social justice and environmental responsibility. How do they fulfill these commitments from the perspective of the First Nation People in Alberta? Julie embarks on an epic road-trip across Canada searching for answers. She quickly finds herself navigating through a system, which proves to lack monitoring mechanisms, governmental rules and regulations as well as violations of First Nation's human and land-based constitutional rights.
