Plot Summary:Alfred is a poor devil of a man, middle-aged, married, working and totally lacking ambition. In Hell, coming promotion time, a class devil must pass a test: tempting Alfred's soul into damnation. successively throws in his path luxury (a seductive young woman), dishonesty (making money out of an illegal deal), and vanity for what he is not).
