Plot Summary:Her boss takes Bécassotte to the sea-side at Trou-sur-Mer. She spends her time knitting. Mme Painrassis asks Bécassotte why she does not swim. Bécassotte agrees but is taken away by a shark. A sailor fishes her out at sea. She swears never to go swimming again!
