Plot Summary:The leading character in the story has the power to absorb anything he wishes, through his tremendous will power. He goes blind, and takes away the sight of his nephew in order that he may see. He steals his sister's brain in order that he may write. He steals an inventor's mind that he may become famous. His love for his sweetheart prevents him from stealing her voice, and he commits suicide.
