Plot Summary:The Irish prisoner is the love story between Luisa Ochoa, a young widow and Conor Doolin, an Irish soldier who was taken prisoner after the English invasion of Buenos Aires in 1806, who became involved with a revolution far away from his roots but closed to the ideal of freedom of his own country.
