Plot Summary:\"In the city, I am in a minority\"said Lio Bah, a female painter, who belongs to the Erwenki tribe. After graduating from college, Lio Bah stayed and worked in the city for seven years. In the spring of 1992, with a feeling of loneliness, she returned to the Great Xing'an Mountains, where her reindeer-taming tribe resided. However, after living in the city for a long time, Lio Bah had difficulties adjusting herself to the traditional life in the mountain. In addition, the pain of heartbreak returned from time to time and the memory of the lost love became a torture. Returning to the mountain, Lio Bah did not secure the sense of belonging.\"My family said I belong to the city.\" So, at the margin, Lio Bah belonged neither to the city nor to the mountain. She became homeless. In 1993, she left home and had been wandering until she met a man, who sheltered her and became her husband later. After getting married, Lio Bah often painted pictures of tribal life from her memory....Then, her family's Sacred Reindeer died. The traditional culture of raising reindeer was on the brink of fading. Lio Bah was going to give birth to a baby... The film follows Lio Bah's life for three years and records her inner experience of spiritual isolation.
